Fréjus-Saint-Raphaël is the discreet face of Var: same Mediterranean light, same blue-water coves, but at a different rhythm — quieter, with families, sailors, hikers. Fréjus carries its Roman heritage (the amphitheatre, the aqueduct) and a historical centre that comes alive in the evening. Saint-Raphaël displays its Belle Époque villas, the lively port, and direct sea access to the Estérel calanques.

The Estérel massif is the gem of the zone: vermilion red rocks plunging into the sea, hidden creeks (Aiguebonne, Anthéor, La Figueirette, Antheor), drives along the famous Corniche d'Or. Cap Dramont and its semaphore offer panoramic views. From Saint-Raphaël harbour, a shuttle boat reaches the Île d'Or in 15 minutes — the most photographed tower on the French Riviera.

Les Issambres and Roquebrune-sur-Argens, just south, offer family beaches, sailing schools, and a relaxed atmosphere. The Roquebrune-sur-Argens rock (87m), visible from the highway, is the largest red sandstone monolith in Provence.
