Kitesurfing in Var

Lessons and rental at L'Almanarre and the Giens peninsula — one of Europe's top spots.

The Giens peninsula concentrates exceptional wind conditions: mistral on the western beach (Almanarre), thermal sea breeze on the eastern beach (Tour Fondue). Flat shallow water, perfect for learning. World championship venue. Famous spots: Almanarre, La Capte, Brutal Beach (Six-Fours).

Our partner kiteschools are certified VDWS or IKO and provide modern equipment (Cabrinha, Duotone, North, F-One kites; Slingshot, North boards). Wing foil is rapidly growing too — easier to learn, more accessible to families.

Best season: April to October. The mistral blows mostly in spring and autumn (more reliable winds). Summer relies on the thermal sea breeze that picks up around 1pm and lasts until 6-7pm. 30-35°C in July-August + 18-22°C water = ideal conditions.
